Joining Alan Biggs in The Ref Show studio this week were former referee chief Keith Hackett and Gary Megson, fresh from his five months at Premier League side West Brom, where he ended his spell with a two game unbeaten stint as manager.
A man in form all season; Jon Moss was under scrutiny this week after he booked Bournemouth’s Adam Smith for diving in the penalty area. He later apologised to the defender, who will now be suspended for one game with the yellow being his fifth of the season. The panel have their say on this as well as wrapping up the rest of the action in the Premier League with praise for the performances of Andre Marriner and Mike Dean in their respective fixtures.
In the Championship, Gary and Keith were both in attendance at Hillsborough where Hull City grabbed an injury time equaliser against Sheffield Wednesday. Both panelists had an issue with referee Mike Jones with the home side feeling aggrieved not to have been awarded a penalty. And with Gary having had a taste of the old life, it seems he’s found his spark for management again. Could we see him back in the game very soon? Listen to his thoughts on The Ref Show…..
