As I said at half time in today’s climate and in any football match it’s about getting the key match decisions correct and having the courage to give the penalty like he did and also the sending off of the Orlando No2. I was also very impressed with his recognition of his foul no foul and his accuracy in his decision making and with that leads to the respect of the players which he had. I didn’t see many players questioning his decision making. His fitness was good getting him into the right positions to give the correct call. He worked very well with his assistants, leading his team very well. A very good day at the office for all match officials. I am now going to bed as I have to travel to Sheffield to do the ref show in the morning so it’s GOOD NIGHT from me.

MH at 2015-08-16 23:47:46
Referee just played an advantage there, was there an advantage? No should of given a free kick to Seattle.

Substitution for Orlando,  10 OFF, 24 ON.

MH at 2015-08-16 23:40:34
Also pleasing to the see the referee not sticking to the middle of the park, he is getting out wide to make good viewing angles.

GOAL!S9

MH at 2015-08-16 23:33:10
Yellow CardO17 off the ball incident.

MH at 2015-08-16 23:31:44
Apart from the second goal the tempo seems to have died down it’s important that the referee stays fully focused.

MH at 2015-08-16 23:27:51
Substitution for Seattle, S16 OFF S18 ON.

MH at 2015-08-16 23:26:32
Correction S27 could count himself lucky that he was not cautioned after challenge on O32 not O3.

MH at 2015-08-16 23:23:43
Excellent header.

MH at 2015-08-16 23:17:02
Seattle to get the second half under way.

MH at 2015-08-16 23:09:46
I did say after 20 minutes this was a dull affair, someone must of heard me as we have had a goal, a penalty and a sending off in the last 25 minutes. To the referee Kevin Stott’s credit he has got the major key match decisions correct with the holding offence for the penalty and the sending off of O2 for 2 yellow cards. As I said his recognition of foul non foul, his accuracy in his decision making has been excellent. Lets hope they keep up the good work in the second half.

MH at 2015-08-16 23:01:44

Those of you who read my ref cam’s I was a referee who always managed the game, managed the players and managed the event. That incident with the O2 being shown a second yellow card you cannot manage those incidents.

MH at 2015-08-16 22:54:51
Red CardO2 sent off for second yellow. Deliberate full back referee absolutely correct.

MH at 2015-08-16 22:53:46
Yellow CardO2

MH at 2015-08-16 22:53:20
Referee not the quickest but as i said before he is always on the move and getting himself into good viewing positions.

MH at 2015-08-16 22:51:50
Once again excellent positioning by the referee on potential foul and a potential handball in the penalty area.

MH at 2015-08-16 22:44:21
Excellent positioning by the referee great spot.

MH at 2015-08-16 22:43:51

AR2 on the far side, AR1 on the technical area side

MH at 2015-08-16 22:41:28
Off side given by AR2.

MH at 2015-08-16 22:40:58
That does tend to upset players when you show yellow cards in that manner.

MH at 2015-08-16 22:38:03
The showing of the yellow card came across as over officious.

MH at 2015-08-16 22:37:16
Previous Yellow card for a reckless challenge.

MH at 2015-08-16 22:36:39

Even picking up foul throws, you don’t see many of them these days.

MH at 2015-08-16 22:25:43
Good to see the referee picking up all the small free kicks not missing much.

MH at 2015-08-16 22:22:37
Correct decision by the referee dangerous play.

MH at 2015-08-16 22:21:49
