New York City FC vs. Sporting Kansas City 2017 MLS

end of the match

SD at 2017-09-07 02:42:53

No use of the VAR during today’s match between NYC v SKC at Yankee stadium. Final score 1-0 for NYC. It rained all match long and the field was slippery. Salazar let the game flow and I feel that few more fouls could have been given but overall no big problem during the match. Today, another key point for the referee was positioning and movement as he got caught few times in the middle of play!

The ARs ran the line well and no big issues raised.

thank you and stay tuned for the next match on RefCam @ YATR

Yellow Card#  NYC

SD at 2017-09-07 02:29:29

3 minutes additional time

SD at 2017-09-07 02:25:07

NYC 1 – 0 SKC at 85 minutes

SD at 2017-09-07 02:24:05

GOAL! NYC # 11 . They have been controlling the last bit of the game! #15 was in an offside position but did not get involved in play

SD at 2017-09-07 02:21:07

FK for SKC, #21 Pirlo takes it. now subs #9 out

SD at 2017-09-07 02:15:11

Salazar is standing still too much. i think the adjustment to a small field is having an effect on his positioning and movement

SD at 2017-09-07 02:10:55

slighlty injured #9 NYC on a hard challenge by defender.

SD at 2017-09-07 02:08:57

Salazar has given a lot of advantages, and few more fouls could have been called to better control the game so far

SD at 2017-09-07 02:06:11

If this had been a goal, it could have been a VAR situation to review

SD at 2017-09-07 02:04:46

Oh boy! it shall have been a goal! NYC # 19 stopped the ball to get in the goal! Maybe an offside position as well. NYC had a goal going for them

SD at 2017-09-07 02:02:29

Offside SKC

SD at 2017-09-07 02:01:20

position: Again Salazar gets caught in the middle of the play

FK to SKC given by Salazar, argue by NYC #21…and over the bar

SD at 2017-09-07 01:55:39

The ARs have not been challenged too much so far with only 1 offside call

SD at 2017-09-07 01:53:07

the referee is not moving enought to get a good angle for fouls recognition

SD at 2017-09-07 01:50:42

SKC #9 is slightly injured as he got slapped in the face, most likely accidently

SD at 2017-09-07 01:47:08

poor positioning of the referees is on the way of the player…he needs to move out of the play

SD at 2017-09-07 01:44:48

a great chance to score for SKC. we need some excitement!

SD at 2017-09-07 01:43:18

Half Time

SD at 2017-09-07 01:26:43

1 minute additional time

SD at 2017-09-07 01:25:34

on this small field, the referee needs to adjust his position, anticipate the play to get a better position. Also needs to get out of the way of the player

SD at 2017-09-07 01:22:26

on this corner, the ref needs to be closer

SD at 2017-09-07 01:21:05

still 0-0 and a pretty even match so far

SD at 2017-09-07 01:19:27

corrct foul for NYC and dangerous FK just outside the PK area. Was it a DOGSO?

SD at 2017-09-07 01:17:55

the referee needs to keep an eye on the 2 players on a YC and manage them to prevent a 2nd YC

SD at 2017-09-07 01:15:09

the field is very slippery, you see the players sliding a lot to get the ball

SD at 2017-09-07 01:13:04

the referee needs to anticipate the play a bit more, get a better angle and get closer to the action

SD at 2017-09-07 01:11:27

good job by AR to be at the line for a quick ball out

SD at 2017-09-07 01:08:59

Yellow CardYC # 10 NYC from behind, well deserved

SD at 2017-09-07 01:06:31

the YC #27 was probably due to retaliation from a foul at the 22nd min

SD at 2017-09-07 01:04:30

Yellow Card#27 SKC. foul against SKC . a bit weak!

SD at 2017-09-07 01:02:48

foul against NYC. FK and no more

SD at 2017-09-07 01:00:14

NYCFC are unbeaten in nine straight home games (7W-2D), a franchise best home unbeaten streak in a single regular season

SD at 2017-09-07 00:58:53

GK played but ball did not leave the PK area so GK retaken

SD at 2017-09-07 00:57:39

there was enought contact for calling the foul, but the ref was in a good cporiotion to judge

SD at 2017-09-07 00:53:33

a great chance to score for NYC on a corner

SD at 2017-09-07 00:51:44

So far so good, Salazar is an experienced referee an manage well. It is pooring in NYC !

SD at 2017-09-07 00:47:59

SD at 2017-09-07 00:46:33
