FINAL SCORE: 3 – 0

Great job from the refereeing crew today. They applied strictly the Laws of the Game and use a good dose of interpretation.  Good communication amongst them and no necessary delay.  VAR was useful and used once during the game. It ended by a Red card at the 37’ for Dempsey (SEA).

The referee used his fitness with efficiency and no controversy happened today.

The ARs ran the line well and no big issues raised.

Well done referees and good luck for your next match.

With 5 key injured players for SEA, it hurt the team as well as the RC.

Thank you and stay tuned for the next match on RefCam, check the website for forthcoming matches.

Ball rolling for the Second half

HT

SD at 2018-03-18 23:06:33

A great half to watch. DAL started strong but SEA picked up the pace and at the end of the HT, SEA had more ball possession %. The big moment was the RC to DEMPSEY caught by VAR. But not so cool that he applauded the referee while receiving the RC.

SEA is one men short for the rest of the game, so we shall see more attacking play for DAL.

The Video Assistant Referee (VAR) made its official debut on August 5th, 2017. Today again, we have a situation requiring the TV replay & consultation on the screen to get an accurate call. As a reminder, review is possible only on the 4 specific aspects (red cards, penalty quick, goal or mistaken identity).
