Don’t forget to tune in tomorrow for Newcastle V Liverpool where your referee coach will be Andy Martin.

MH at 2015-12-05 20:42:11

What a result for Bournemouth this will put more pressure on the Chelsea manager. I believe the goal should of been disallowed on 2 counts, firstly I believe the restart from the corner was incorrect as the ball was not in the D so that is a incorrect restart in play and I believe the dead assistant Richard West who was on that side should of informed the referee that the ball was not in the D. No fault of the referees. Secondly I believe the goal should of been given offside as there was not a second last opponent as the goalkeeper was out leaving a Chelsea defender nearest his own goal line.

So Bournemouth can count themselves fortunate to have got themselves 3 points but having said that you wouldn’t begrudge them as they have been on the wrong end of refereeing decisions throughout the season.

So looking back at the officials performance you feel sympathy for Mike as he has been let down by his 2 assistants. Firstly with Richard West not spotting the ball outside the D and secondly Andy Garratt with the possible offside, With Andy it was a difficult call because of the game being so quick.

Looking back at Mike’s performance as I said before Jose will have complaints over the goal but in my opinion Mike is not to blame, he managed the game, he managed the players and he cannot have any complaints with his cautions.

Full Time

MH at 2015-12-05 20:22:36

Andy Garratt was the assistant involved in the goal.

MH at 2015-12-05 20:21:46

There will be a minimum of 4 minutes added time.

MH at 2015-12-05 20:21:18

Offside – the following definitions apply, nearer to his opponents goal line means that any part of the players head body or feet is nearer to the opponents goal line then both the ball and the second last opponent. So with the goalkeeper out of his goal that means there was only 1 opponent nearest to his own goal line so the assistant should of flagged B27 offside and the goal should of been disallowed.

MH at 2015-12-05 20:15:06

We have 2 questions re the goal, was the restart correct as I don’t believe the ball was in the D and secondly was the goal offside?

MH at 2015-12-05 20:13:07

Substitution for Chelsea,  C18 and  C14 ON,  C4 and C6 OFF.

MH at 2015-12-05 20:10:14

GOAL! B27

MH at 2015-12-05 20:09:36

Good recognition once again by Mike after a foul for C5.

MH at 2015-12-05 20:08:30

Substitution for Bournemouth, B17 OFF, B27 ON.

MH at 2015-12-05 20:07:18

C17 appealing for handball no chance.

MH at 2015-12-05 20:06:02

Chelsea getting closer.

MH at 2015-12-05 20:04:45

Absolutely agree with Mike not a caution for B8. careless challenge.

MH at 2015-12-05 20:03:55

As i said before how have we not had a goal in this game.

MH at 2015-12-05 19:57:22

Since Costa has come onto the field of play the intensity has gone up in this game. It’s imperative that Mike steps up as well.

MH at 2015-12-05 19:54:15

Going back to the handball was it intentional by the Bournemouth defender, for me I believe Mike has got that correct.

MH at 2015-12-05 19:52:35

I think that yellow card is because the referee had spoken to C19 5 minutes earlier, could he of managed that situation ? please let us know

MH at 2015-12-05 19:51:10

Yellow CardC19

MH at 2015-12-05 19:50:19

Is that handball??????

MH at 2015-12-05 19:49:12

Well done Mike Jones it’s a foul and nothing else by C19.

MH at 2015-12-05 19:44:57

Easy save by the Bournemouth keeper.

MH at 2015-12-05 19:44:27

Sorry about the delay all back to normal, spoke to the boys in Doha and been informed nothing has happened.

MH at 2015-12-05 19:41:53

Sorry cant comment at the moment as we have just had a power cut and waiting for sky to come back on.

MH at 2015-12-05 19:36:19

As a referee you don’t prejudge players but Mike Jones will have to be aware of Costa’s aggression.

MH at 2015-12-05 19:34:36

Chelsea need a spark and Costa is the man.

MH at 2015-12-05 19:33:54

I was wrong Costo on,

Substitution for Chelsea C19 On, C8 OFF.

Mike Jones has to be pleased with his first half performance, 2 cautions one each correctly given.

While the fans go off for a cup of tea or hot soup i will be pouring myself a lovely glass of red.

See you all soon for the second half.

MH at 2015-12-05 19:18:19

Half Time

MH at 2015-12-05 19:17:00

Good challenge by B4 on C17 in the area had to be good.

MH at 2015-12-05 19:16:04

C8 goes down to easy looking for a free kick, well done Mike.

MH at 2015-12-05 19:15:25

There will be a minimum of 3 minutes added time.

MH at 2015-12-05 19:12:32

Another good save by the Bournemouth keeper after a shot by C17.

I don’t understand how this game is still 0-0. Chances at both ends.

MH at 2015-12-05 19:10:56

Very impressed with Mike’s recognition of foul non foul and the way he is managing the players after a foul by C16 on B17.

MH at 2015-12-05 19:06:35

Free kick to Chelsea in a dangerous position.

MH at 2015-12-05 19:06:05

This is turning into an excellent game of football, end to end.

MH at 2015-12-05 19:04:59

Shot by C10 great save by the Bournemouth keeper.

MH at 2015-12-05 19:04:23

Nice to see Mike talking to the players over a throw in decision, that’s what players like.

MH at 2015-12-05 19:02:16

Richard West getting involved a correct offside given. Costa warming up not sure if we will be seeing him play today.

MH at 2015-12-05 19:00:51

I don’t understand short corner’s just get the ball in the box.

MH at 2015-12-05 19:00:09

Once again terrific play by Bournemouth. I don’t think anyone would be complaining if Bournemouth took the lead.

MH at 2015-12-05 18:57:17

2 very good advantages played by Mike allowing Chelsea to go on the attack.

MH at 2015-12-05 18:56:33

Mike has settled into the game very well, his positioning and movement is of a high standard.

MH at 2015-12-05 18:54:06

Yellow CardB6, correct decision after a reckless challenge.

MH at 2015-12-05 18:53:17

Correct offside given by Andy Garratt.

MH at 2015-12-05 18:52:32

Accidental arm in the face from C5 on B17. Good reading by Mike.

MH at 2015-12-05 18:51:51

Yellow CardC17 correct caution, reckless challenge. Mike had just given him a warning 5 minutes ago so can have no complaints.

MH at 2015-12-05 18:48:35

Good non free kick by Mike.

MH at 2015-12-05 18:48:03

Avery good 15 minutes for Mike, picking up the small free kicks that matter, not being fussy and letting the game flow.

MH at 2015-12-05 18:46:17

Clearly Bournemouth haven’t come to park the bus.

MH at 2015-12-05 18:45:45

MH at 2015-12-05 18:35:42

First corner of the game to Chelsea.

MH at 2015-12-05 18:33:13

Good to see Mike give an early free kick after a foul by C24.

MH at 2015-12-05 18:32:12

Nice to see Mike Jones on the ball popping the balloon after what happened to him at Sunderland V Liverpool. The famous balloon incident.

MH at 2015-12-05 18:26:22

Teams are in the tunnel.

MH at 2015-12-05 18:19:24

Good evening to our ref cam viewers for this evenings game between Chelsea V Bournemouth. Chelsea will start out as clear favourites in tonight’s encounter against Bournemouth who are looking to add to Chelsea’s poor start to the season in their eyes. Today’s referee is Mike Jones who has been kept away from Chelsea since he sent off Fabregas controversially against WBA in May of last season. Mike has refereed 10 games to date, showing 39 yellow cards at an average of 3.9 per game and 1 red card. He has had a good season to date but Mike who has been on the select group since 2008 should be looking to get the bigger games in the premier league. He will be assisted by Richard West and Andy Garratt. His 4th official will be Craig Pawson.
