Bournemouth v Chelsea

MH at 2017-10-28 19:31:28

People will have watched this game and said it is an easy game for the referee but believe me no game in the Premier League is easy. Craig Pawson will be happy that no one is talking about him that’s because of the way he managed the game today. He picked up all the free kicks that were needed, he wasn’t fussy, players showed him respect because of his correct foul recognition also having a quiet word when needed. He administered 2 cautions that were fully justified. If I had one minor critisisum of Craig I would just like to see him improve on his sprinting agility. I thought that his assistant referees were also very good tonight especially on their offside calls. A very good team performance enjoy the rest of your weekend. Good night.

Full Time

Chelsea win 1-0.

MH at 2017-10-28 19:16:37

A minimum of 4 minutes added time.

MH at 2017-10-28 19:15:42

There was no real advantage in that attack as a referee in that situation stop the game issue a caution and give a free kick.

MH at 2017-10-28 19:14:36

Yellow CardB2. Rightly cautioned for a foul on C3 holding.

MH at 2017-10-28 19:11:06

Substitution for Chelsea, C10 OFF, C22 ON.

MH at 2017-10-28 19:10:07

Another chance goes begging for Chelsea let’s hope they done rue their missed chances.

Substitution for Bournmouth, B19 OFF with a muscle injury and B7 ON.

MH at 2017-10-28 18:49:26

As I was saying earlier as a referee you have to remain fully focused, 60 minutes gone we had our first poor challenge. It’s so easy to get sucked into the game when there has been nothing going on and Craig stamped his authority on the game stating that he is not accepting these challenges and rightly cautioned B15.

MH at 2017-10-28 18:45:41

Yellow CardReckless challenge by B15 on C10, correctly cautioned by Craig well done.

MH at 2017-10-28 18:44:42

That has to be a caution.

MH at 2017-10-28 18:43:35

Bournmouth shot deflected for a corner.

MH at 2017-10-28 18:42:03

I would like to see Craigs speed agility be quicker over the first 5-10 yards, it would improve his performance immensely. It is something as a referee that he can work on at his age.

MH at 2017-10-28 18:38:31

Keeper beaten on the near post I thought he should have done better.

MH at 2017-10-28 18:37:34

GOAL!C10. I said it was coming and it has.

MH at 2017-10-28 18:36:41

As it was a fairly quite first half for the referee, Craig must remain fully focused and his concentration levels must remain high because if you switch off for 1 minute in the Premier League an incident will happen and you could make a key match error.

MH at 2017-10-28 18:32:55

Substitution for Bournmouth. B33 ON, B18 OFF.

MH at 2017-10-28 18:31:20

Bournmouth to get the second half underway.

MH at 2017-10-28 18:24:13

A very quite first half for Craig, players behaving themselves and as a referee this is just how you like it. It makes it so easy for you. Just one big talking point in the first half, the disallowed goal for offside for Chelsea, I thought at the time it was level but the replay shows that C28 was fractionally off side. Good call by assistant Smart.

MH at 2017-10-28 18:16:52

That has to be a first, no added time. Half Time

MH at 2017-10-28 18:16:01

Another chance for Chelsea but strong defending by Bornmouth.

MH at 2017-10-28 18:12:58

I think it’s only a matter of time before Chelsea open their account.

MH at 2017-10-28 18:11:26

Not a difficult game at present for Craig as the players are behaving themselves.

MH at 2017-10-28 18:07:13

Just seen a reply of the disallowed goal and he is fractionally offside so you have to say excellent decision by assistant Smart.

MH at 2017-10-28 18:05:49

Another chance for C9, excellent save by the Bournmouth keeper.

MH at 2017-10-28 18:04:49

We will have to look at the replay at half time, I’m sure if VAR would have been in operation it would have certainly come into play for that incident.

MH at 2017-10-28 18:02:06

Chelsea goal ruled out for offside as C28 was judged to be involved in active play. Looking at it I have to say in my opinion it looked level and the gaol was wrongly disallowed by assistant referee Smart.

MH at 2017-10-28 17:58:25

A foul by B6 pleasing to see that Craig managed the situation, it wasn’t a caution in my opinion but B6 will have to be careful now as I feel his next late challenge will be a caution.

MH at 2017-10-28 17:56:41

Chelsea should have gone 1-0 up after an error by the Bournmouth keeper.

MH at 2017-10-28 17:55:34

Careless challenge by C3 on B9, foul correctly given.

MH at 2017-10-28 17:54:33

It’s good to see Craig not being to fussy and only getting involved when needed to.

MH at 2017-10-28 17:51:03

Foul by B16 on C9 correctly given.

MH at 2017-10-28 17:50:25

Not so sure as to why Craig has gone that wide on that Bournmoth attack, if the ball gets whipped across Craig is then out of position to see any potential incidents in that danger zone ? Ideally he should stay more central and not go as wide.

MH at 2017-10-28 17:48:06

Corner correctly given to Bournmouth.

MH at 2017-10-28 17:47:07

Good team work by Craig and assistant Smart. Excellent challenge by B5 comes off a Chelaea player, goal kick correctly given.

MH at 2017-10-28 17:45:51

It’s pleasing to see that Craig is aware of what is going on around him re when a challenge goes in he is keeping his gaze vision on challenges just to make sure nothing unto ward goes on.

MH at 2017-10-28 17:39:29

The game is of a low tempo at present and Craig is just easing his way into the game. All be it keeping a central path of control.

MH at 2017-10-28 17:35:22

As I was saying a foul by C9 on B9 correctly given.

MH at 2017-10-28 17:34:39

I think we are going to see a physical game today, it’s important that Craig picks up all the small fouls so the players don’t get frustrated with his decision making.

MH at 2017-10-28 17:31:05

Chelsea to get us underway.

MH at 2017-10-28 17:30:09

A minutes silence will commence in respect of rememberance Sunday for all those who lost their lives in conflict.

MH at 2017-10-28 17:24:08

Wonderful celebrations by the England players in India.

MH at 2017-10-28 17:23:12

Good evening and welcome to the second of our ref cam games today Bournmouth V Chelsea. Bournmouth will be looking to climb out of the bottom three while Chelsea will need 3 points to keep pace with the top three. Today’s referee is Craig Pawson who in my opinion is having a good season. We saw him on our TV screens last week at Everton V Arsenal and he correctly sent off Idriss Gueye of Everton for 2 yellow cards. As officials we all know you are only as good as your last game. Craig will be assisted today by Lee Betts (technical side), Eddie Smart and Roger East 4th official. Good luck to all. I would like to add my congratulations to England U17’s in defeating Spain by 5 goals to 2 in the 2017 World Cup Final in India this afternoon, gaining revenge after they lost to Spain in the final of the U17’s Euros earlier this year. Although England went 2-0 down today I was in no doubt that England would win this game. Well done to all the staff and players on a magnificent tournament. Let’s hope our senior team can replicate this in Russia in the summer.
