This week I’m going to look in detail at two games that had everyone talking including Andre Marriner’s performance during Arsenal’s 3-2 win over Southampton and then we had the thrilling Manchester derby on Saturday evening, a game where there was plenty to discuss on referee Martin Atkinson’s performance.

Before we do, I’ll briefly run through the noteworthy points elsewhere. At The King Power Stadium I felt Riyad Mahrez should have had a stonewall penalty when Paul Dummett challenged the Algerian. To be fair to Stuart, it’s a long ball up field and he’d have done well to get close to that incident so that’s where he needed his AR to come in and help him out.

I think Anthony Taylor got Davy Propper’s sending off on Jonathan Hogg correct during Brighton’s 1-1 draw with Huddersfield. Initially it looks 50/50 but the difference was Propper goes in with a straight leg whilst Hogg goes in with his leg bent. Anthony did well to take his time and consider everything before making the decision to send the player off…
