Crystal Palace 1 Liverpool 2 – Neil Swarbrick

Sadio Mane’s name was a major talking point this weekend with his antics during his side’s win over Crystal Palace and when I look back at the incidents I’d be inclined to say Neil got one right, one wrong.

Regarding the dive I agreed with Neil to caution the player. Those who say it’s a penalty it’s important to remember that not every bit of contact warrants a foul. If he had gone down straight away you could perhaps understand Liverpool’s frustration, but the player delays himself before hitting the ground and that for me is deceiving the referee.
